My History
My name is Renata Rodriguez, owner of and head baker at Cakes and Sweets by Renata®. My passion for the confectionery arts began at an early age. I have many fond childhood memories of family gatherings in our humble kitchen to create delicious Brazilian sweets. ,After many years of living in Brazil, I decided to dive into this area and do something that really makes me very happy, confectionery. Consequently, I dedicated myself to learning and mastering this fine art. In addition to the many confectionery courses I attended, I also watched a lot of TV cooking shows, read recipe magazines and books, and researched many recipes via the internet I was improving myself, experimenting with recipes that I thought were interesting and receiving positive results from people who loved the sweets. As a result, I started Cakes and Sweets by Renata®.
For me, baking and confectionery is a way of bringing sweetness, affection and good feelings to people. Every delivery that makes my customers happy makes me happy. I believe that it is very important to offer not only great tasting products but to also make them beautiful and very well made. For this reason I use only high quality ingredients.
